Cruisin’ With The Oak Ridge Boys On Granny’s Sail Away Adventure!

The Bucket List

Line one… MEET the Oak Ridge Boys… Check (2 years ago in Nashville)!

Line 2 – Stand on the ‘circle’ at the Grand Old Opry….check (2 years ago I did that, too)!

Line 3 – Take a cruise.

Call it fate, call it kismet, call it coincidence, but The Oak Ridge Boys are a part of my Bucket List again. I began looking close at a cruise early last year to fulfill line 3 and then the ‘Boys’ announced their next rally would be a cruise. That is how my whole Bucket List Trip (Granny’s Sail Away Adventure) began.

Through my life, whether I needed a little faith or a pick me up, ORB had it covered. With their perfect harmony, they can fill your soul and tickle your funny bone all in one show. When I met them two years ago, I found they were honest and just down to earth guys.

The group went thru may name changes and members since first forming in the 1940’s as the Georgia Clodhoppers. William Golden and Duane Allen were members during the 1960’s, and the 1970’s brought Joe Bonsall and Richard Sterban in as members. 2013 marks 40 years with this alliance. A combination of talent, endurance and history.

So I will see ya guys the 28th when I mark line 3 off my Bucket List.

Just as an added note guys… line 4 on my Bucket List is to eat a Maine Lobster IN Maine… Do ya got something coming up in Maine? lol!
