Our Visit to ‘Little Switzerland’! “Eureka” in Eureka Springs!

eureka buttonEureka Springs, Arkansas was built on a picturesque mountainside and has 60+ natural springs, three lakes and over 1800 acres of city park land. Due to the healing springs, architecture and historical significance, this small town is a feast for your eyes. Oh! For all you shopping addicts out there… no matter what you want, I am 99% sure you will find it in Eureka Springs. Though well known for the many wedding venues and winding roads (which motorcyclist enjoy), there are many adventures for the whole family in and around the town.

One of our first stops was at the Chamber office in Pine Mountain Village. This is a cute little village with many specialty shops. I visited with Mike Bishop (Chamber President) about what Eureka Springs has to offer visitors.

pinemountainvillagetile 10653938_820209347997693_699931054_nMike Bishop stated, ” I think you get so much by just bringing family and playing with us. In my opinion, we are the ultimate vacation destination. You can just come here for a relaxing rejuvenation thing, and we can certainly do that with all the different types of lodging. We have a lot of good spas and massages. We have walking trails in peaceful surroundings. Then you can be as busy as you want to be with horseback trails, the zipline, and out on the lake is standup paddle boarding which is a big deal now. ”

“There are wonderful views to see as well.” He added

Until then let me give you  a quick look at the sights in Eureka Springs…
