Tram Tour of Eureka Springs! ‘Eureka’ in Eureka Springs!

eureka buttonThe Historic District Tram Tour of Eureka Springs is one of the first things any visitor should do. Avoid the stress of driving all over town on the narrow, crooked streets, trying to see all the old homes, natural beauty and tons of historic structures. Let the wonderful people who know this town show you the beautiful scenery, architecture and share tons of fun stories! Take a ride thru Eureka Springs history from 1829 to 2014.

People… Listen to me… This is the best thing you can do. For just $16.75 for ages 12 to adult, and $7.50 for kids 3-11, you get a fantastic tour full of fun, history and such beautiful sights. Tim Garrison was our tour guide and did a great job filling us in with all the local flavor around town. He also kept us in stitches thru the trip. The MOM said she liked this a lot. So let me show you some of the sights we saw on the tour…

100_4424-tile trampage1 We also stopped by the Crescent Hotel which has a long and rich  (and Haunted) history. Happy to say the sis and I will be returning next spring to check out The Crescent and all the spooks that live there. I can’t wait for that trip.

From the 4th floor observation deck you get some great views.

crescent12page Located just down the hill you can attend church… BUT you must enter through the Bell Tower to attend services.

bell towertile Then we loaded back up on the tram and headed out to see some of the magical springs sites. Grotto Springs flow has been diverted but when it rains sometimes the spring still seeps out in the cave,

grottopage Now a spin around historic downtown…

100_4531-tile Then down at Basin Springs Park there is always music going on. We saw a couple musicians who sang to us as we went by…

You should make this a MUST DO when you are visiting Eureka Springs.

See the Wooden Indian is looking for YOU!

Guess that pretty much settles that! Either I missed this or they did not have it the last time (years ago) I was there. I bet we did not see a fraction of this in our driving around on our own. I will put this at the top of my list for next time.
